Chirag Paswan, now 41, first stepped into the public eye 13 years ago with his acting debut in the film ‘Mile Na Mile Hum,’ where he starred opposite Kangana Ranaut. Despite the film not achieving commercial success, Paswan’s aspirations did not wane. He turned towards politics, a field where he has undoubtedly found his calling and made a lasting impact.
Arjan Bajwa, who has known Paswan since his younger days, expressed his profound pride in his friend’s accomplishments. “Seeing Chirag from adolescence to now turning into a seasoned political figure in mainstream Indian politics is a matter of immense pride for me,” Bajwa shared. Chirag Paswan contested his first Lok Sabha election in 2014 from Bihar’s Jamui constituency and secured a decisive win. He retained this seat in the 2019 general elections, demonstrating his growing influence and popularity among the voters. In the recently concluded 2024 elections, Paswan switched constituencies and contested from Hajipur. His victory was resounding, winning by a margin of 1,70,105 votes, further solidifying his position in Indian politics. His party, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), also performed admirably, winning five seats in Vaishali, Hajipur, Samastipur, Khagaria, and Jamui.
