As per the latest report by Bollywood Hungama, the makers had applied for a certificate at the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).The Examining Committee had seen the film and raised objections to certain scenes. Additionally, there were concerns that it might violate the model code of conduct as laid down by the Election Commission of India. It was advised that the film should be released after the last phase of elections, scheduled for June 1.
The report further added that the CBFC expressed reservations about certain moments in the film that could potentially hurt the sentiments of a section of the moviegoers. Therefore, the film’s team might consider reshooting the sequences.
For the unversed, the story of the film has been penned by the talented Aseem Arrora and the movie delves into the events that transpired on the morning of February 27, 2002, aboard the Sabarmati Express near the Godhra railway station in Gujarat.
The film unfolds a narrative grounded in reality, promising to offer audiences a riveting and thought-provoking experience.
