During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Fardeen revealed the reason for taking a break from Bollywood. He shared, “Aap keh nahi sakte zindagi mein kis mode pe kya hota hai. Before this, my last release in 2010 was, Dulha Mil Gaya. And due to some personal reasons, I feel that a break of 2-3 years is needed from this industry and work. I had to concentrate on my family. But when my daughter was born, that teen started growing from 6 to 8 years and then my son was born. And then it just got longer and I was a full time dad.”
He further added that he was content doing that, but he yearned to be a part of his chosen profession, the one he had grown up doing, watching and learning. Over the course of these twelve years, many things have changed; the audience has evolved, and the way films are made has transformed. The actor stated that he has returned with the enthusiasm of a newcomer and is working with the same attitude.
Talking about his future plans, the actor shared, “While I am excited and nervous, I am also curious to know what kind of roles directors and writers will offer me after seeing my work. It’s not often that you can take a gap for so long and still be remembered and get an opportunity. I am excited for my children to see my work as I will be introduced to a whole new generation of cinema lovers.”
