Bollywood’s versatile actress Taapsee Pannu recently addressed the challenges of navigating the paparazzi culture in the industry.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Taapsee expressed her discomfort with the aggressive tactics employed by some paparazzi, emphasizing the need for mutual respect.

“Paps feel I’m difficult, whereas I’m just being real,” Taapsee Pannu explained.She said that paparazzi often go beyond their limits to get clickbait photos and captions for their Instagram pages, a behavior that makes the ‘Dunki’ actor uncomfortable.
Reflecting on her stance, the actress highlighted the importance of setting boundaries and maintaining dignity in interactions with the paparazzi. She shared her reluctance to conform to the expectation of being overtly submissive, describing the term ‘Lajvanti‘ as a representation of those who comply with the paparazzi’s demands unquestioningly.
She explained, “It’s meant for individuals who attempt to be excessively submissive and sweet, going along with whatever the paps say, and simply laughing it off, feeling ignorance, all of which is perceived as charming and endearing. Sorry, but I can’t be Lajvanti.”
“If you shove the camera in my face without my consent at places where I’m not in a professional capacity, it’s not fair to expect me to be suddenly entertaining you,” Taapsee Pannu asserted. “I feel I am allowed to have a life beyond my work as an entertainer, too.”
Meanwhile, Taapsee has several highly anticipated upcoming projects, including the director Mudassar Aziz’s upcoming comedy film ‘Khel Khel Mein’.
