Tutu Sharma has finally decided to shelve his plan to make a biopic on the late actress Madhubala. The decision came after Madhubala‘s family announced their own film about her.
Talking to ETimes, Sharma said, “We don’t want to get into a legal wrangle, and my leading lady also advised me to drop the idea of making the biopic.”

It should be noted that Tutu Sharma announced the biopic in August 2022 after acquiring the rights to the book ‘Madhubala: Dard Ka Rishta’ written by Sushila Kumari.

Despite the setback, Sharma remains undeterred in his filmmaking endeavors. He has revealed plans to focus on remaking a South Indian film, signaling a new direction for his production ventures. “We have begun working on it,” Sharma said, hinting at exciting developments to come.
