Naseeruddin also shed light on his initial apprehensions about how the film would be received across the border. “Whenever I visited the country, Sarfarosh was always mentioned. I was shocked. Mujhe laga tha joote maarenge mujhe (I thought they would hit me with shoes!)” he humorously recalled. However, to his pleasant surprise, the film garnered immense love and admiration from Pakistani viewers.

He remarked, “I can commit to one thing, that we will definitely give it a serious shot now of coming up with the right script and the right kind of film for it.” His enthusiasm for a potential sequel, echoed by his sentiment that “Sarfarosh 2 should be made.”
