Amid the electrifying atmosphere of an IPL match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Eden Gardens, Rituparna Senguptaalongside Juhi Chawla, Suhana KhanAnanya Panday, and Shanaya Kapoor, captivated attention as they cheered on their team.
Rituparna, while talking to News18 Showsha, shared her delight at the reunion with Juhi, emphasizing the warmth of their longstanding bond.Recalling her spontaneous attendance at the match, Rituparna revealed Juhi’s consistent invitations to every KKR game in Kolkata. Despite a hectic schedule and adverse weather conditions, she cherished the opportunity to witness KKR’s victory. Expressing gratitude for Juhi’s thoughtful message post-match, Rituparna reminisced about their enduring connection, extending back to Juhi and Jai Mehta’s attendance at her son’s birthday.

“Juhi asked me about my son and was talking about how quickly time flies! Juhi and Jai (Mehta) wanted me to stay longer but I couldn’t because I had to rush back to a shoot and then catch a flight back to Singapore that night,” she recalled.

Addressing her interaction with Ananya, Suhana, and Shanaya, Rituparna highlighted the joy of connecting with the younger generation, sharing anecdotes about their families’ cinematic legacies. Rituparna conveyed her best wishes to Suhana for her upcoming film, ‘King,’ and reminisced about her past collaborations with Ananya’s father, Chunky Panday, in numerous films.

“Ananya went home and told Chunky (Panday) that she met me and he had texted me after that. He was my co-star in my first Hindi film titled Teesra Kaun and in another Hindi film, Tirchhi Topiwale,” she mentioned. Did you know they worked together in a Bangladeshi movie as well?

Amidst the camaraderie, Rituparna seized the opportunity to extend her support to KKR, delighted at their advancement to the playoffs.
