Actor Manoj Bajpayeewho was last seen in ‘Silence 2: The Night Owl Bar Shootout’, has shared a list of recently released films that have impressed him. Speaking with Pinkvilla, he expressed his enjoyment of current releases, citing a few well-liked Hindi and other language films among them. Manoj praised the films he considered ‘entertaining and original’, including Ram Charan and Jr.NTR’s ‘RRR’, Yami Gautam’s ‘Article 370’, Ranbir Kapoor‘s ‘Animal' and Rishab Shetty's 'Kantara'.
He said, “Mujhe Kantara is very old. Kantara also made me a great mainstream film by telling me that the rituals of Wahan, the faith of Wahan, and what comes from there. Kantara is a reference point for me.” He continued by saying that, for similar reasons, he found SS Rajamouli's 'RRR', 'Article 370' and 'Animal' to be good.
Manoj Bajpayee also discussed the controversy around the Ranbir Kapoor film ‘Animal’, which has a number of scenes that have drawn harsh condemnation from the internet, calling it “problematic.” He said, “I am very clear if many people disagree or don’t like a film, what’s wrong with that? The film is released, does its business, and moves on. The money goes into the producer’s pocket; let them take it; they invested in the movie.”
He further added, “If you don’t want to watch it, then don’t. If you disagree with something, it’s better not to watch it, but don’t create trouble for the movie. You will be only encouraging a bad notion by doing so, what if others hinder your work in the same way? There should be open discourse without calls for bans or protests.”
