Sophie Turner is opening up like never before about her recent divorce from musician Joe Jonas. The actress, who parted ways with the Jonas Brothers frontman, let fans in on her life as a young mom of two and the events that unfolded since calling it quits on her marriage.
In an interview with British Vogue, Sophie revealed what she ‘hated’ the most about being married to the pop star.She said that it was the public’s perception of her and her sisters-in-law, Priyanka Chopra and Danielle Jonas that often infuriated her. “There was a lot of attention on the three brothers, and the wives. Well, we were always called the wives, and I hated that. It was kind of this plus-one feeling,” she shared.
Turner, however, emphasized that this perception was not due to the way Joe or his brothers made her feel. “And that’s nothing to do with him – in no way did he make me feel that – it was just that the perception of us was as the groupies in the band,” she explained.
Turner, who has romantically moved on from her marriage, was most recently linked to aristocrat, Peregrine Pearson. When asked if she was single, the actress said that she was ‘having fun dating’.
While admitting that it was ‘strange’ to date again after being married at just 23, the actress said, “I am having fun dating. It’s very fun. I mean, it’s strange when you get married so young. It’s like you never really learn how to date. So it’s all very new to me.”
In her interview, she also revealed that the rumours and gossip surrounding the reason for her divorce, alleging that she was a ‘partier’ and a ‘neglectful mom’, hurt her. Those were the worst few days of my life,” she said.
