In an exclusive interview with Hindustan Times, Varun Dhawan and Kavish Majumdar shared insights into their friendship. Kavish had a role in Varun’s 2014 film Main Tera Hero, and their bond has since grown stronger.
The actor recalled the interesting circumstances of meeting Kavish. He explained that he first encountered Kavish during a play titled Little Boy Blue at Mumbai’s Prithvi theatre. Both were 12 years old then. Although they didn’t interact at the time, they later crossed paths at HR College in 2003 and have been friends ever since.

Reflecting on the past, Kavish recounted their reunion at college. He described encountering Varun standing alone in the corridors, engrossed in his phone. Kavish approached him and reminded Varun of their previous meeting. Later, they bonded during a Goa trip with mutual friends, spending ten days together on a train. This trip solidified their friendship, and they continued to stay in touch and meet regularly thereafter.
In addition to his role in 'Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham,' Kavish Majumdar has appeared in other films including 'Partner,' 'Gori Tere Pyaar Mein,' 'Main Tera Hero,' and 'Bank Chor.'
