While fans were ecstatic over the introduction of Bujji, Anand Mahindrathe chairman of Mahindra Groupcongratulated the makers of Kalki 2898 AD for their innovative addition. He revealed that Mahindra’s engineers played a crucial role in helping the film’s team bring their vision to life.
“We’re so proud of Ashwin and his tribe of filmmakers who aren’t afraid to think big…and I mean REALLY big. Our team in Mahindra Research Valley in Chennai helped the Kalki team realize its vision for a futuristic vehicle by simulating the powertrain configuration, architecture, and performance. In fact, the vehicle runs on two Mahindra e-motors powering the rear spherical wheel! And Jayem Automotives put it all together… Let the games begin,” Anand Mahindra wrote on Twitter.
Bujji weighs a hefty 6 tonnes, boasts a power output of 94 kW, a torque of 9800 Newton meters, and a battery capacity of 47 kWh. The car’s dimensions are impressive, with a length of 6075 mm, a width of 3380 mm, and a height of 2186 mm. The car has three tyres: two in the front and one spherical wheel at the back.

Last month, the makers shared a teaser of Amitabh Bachchan’s look from the sci-fi dystopian film during the thrilling Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). The teaser further fueled the excitement surrounding the film.
Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD is touted to be a mythology-inspired sci-fi extravaganza set in the future. Alongside Prabhas, the film features a stellar cast including Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Deepika Padukone, and Disha Patani.
Produced on a staggering budget of Rs 600 crore, Kalki 2898 AD has already earned the title of the most expensive Indian film yet.
