Sharmin Segal has yet to address the criticism she’s facing for her role as Alamzeb in her uncle Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s debut show, ‘The Constitution: The Diamond Bazaar.’ However, did you know Sharmin cried during the shoot of her debut film ‘Malaal‘?
Yes, you read that right! During the promotions of ‘Malaal,’ Sharmin told Radio City India that her uncle, Bhansali, who produced the film, rarely visited the set but made an exception one day.On that occasion, she was filming a song sequence and felt very nervous with her uncle and mentor overseeing the shot.

Sharmin shared that on the day Sanjay Leela Bhansali visited the set, she struggled significantly with a particular shot. Normally requiring around 15 takes, she ended up needing 25 takes that day, which left her feeling frustrated and drained. After finally completing the shot, she retreated to her vanity van, where Bhansali approached her, expressing his enjoyment of the process and indicating his intention to stay for another shot.
