Shah Rukh Khan and family refused to stop celebrating after their team Kolkata Knight Riders took home the trophy for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They beat Sunrisers Hyderabad in the finale match which was held at MA Chidambaram Stadium on May 26. Post the win, SRK was out on the stadium with Suhana, Aryan, AbRam, Gauri and his co-owner Juhi Chawla’s family to celebrate the win.
While the IPL committee hasn’t yet issued an official statement, it is reported that this season’s prize money remains the same as last year.Therefore, the total prize pool for IPL 2024 is Rs 46.5 crore, reports Hindustan Times. Out of this share, KKR will get Rs 20 crore for winning the championship, while Sunrisers Hyderabad will receive Rs 12.5 crore for being their runner-up position. And finally, Rajasthan Royals, former champions, will be awarded Rs 7 crore, and Royal Challengers Bengaluru will take home Rs 6.5 crore for finishing fourth in this season’s tournament.
