SINGAPORE: Singapore’s top mixed doubles pair of Terry Hee and Jessica Tan have qualified for the upcoming Paris Olympics.

The Singapore Badminton Association confirmed with CNA on Monday (May 27) that the husband-and-wife pair will compete at the Games.

While Hee and Tan are currently 18th in the “Race to Paris” ranking system, they were offered a spot at the Games after Oceania champions Australia did not take up their spot for the mixed doubles tournament in Paris.

In the ranking system, the first 13 eligible pairs are allocated slots, while the remaining three spots are given to the continental champions of Oceania, America and Africa.
