Actor Namashi Chakrabortywho is the son of veteran actor Mithun Chakrabortyremembered a funny conversation he had with his family friend Salman Khan. According to Namashi, his brother Mimoh’s career has benefited from the goodwill their father has earned. He revealed in an interview that Amitabh Bachchan was pleased to ‘launch’ their production banner on social media and that he regularly checks up on Mithun. He even said that Salman has always given honest advice to both him and Mimoh Chakraborty.
During an interaction with Lehren Retro, Mimoh revealed that he was on the set of Salman Khan’s film ‘Sultan’ with another ‘star kid’. Mimoh said that Salman allegedly told the other star kid that unlike him, who had to work hard to make a name for himself, Mimoh wasn’t even given the opportunity to struggle. He further stated that Salman has always been a very perceptive man who is aware of the inner workings of the film industry.
Namashi added his own Salman anecdote. He said, “Salman bhai was shooting for Radhe, I’d just wrapped Bad Boy and I went to meet him at Mehboob. I went and touched his feet, and I can say this on camera, he said, ‘F**k off’. He gave me a hug and said, ‘I am as old as you are, don’t do this bulls**t with me. If you ever do this again, especially if Disha Patani is sitting here, I’m going to throw you off the set’. So, rule number one, don’t touch Salman Khan’s feet.”
Namashi stated that Shah Rukh Khan, Govinda, Suniel Shetty, Jacky Shroff, and other friends of his father still support him and Mimoh. In 2008, Mimoh made his debut in the film industry with ‘Jimmy’. Mimoh struggled to regain his footing after the film’s failure at the box office. He has done only supporting roles in recent years. He claimed that he had lights in his eyes and was heartbroken by the film’s failure. However, Namashi accepted the fact that his debut film ‘Bad Boy’ failed to make wonders on the big screen. He is currently working on a film produced by filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.
