Bobby Deol won hearts with his portrayal of a baddie in Ranbir Kapoor starrer ‘Animal‘ directed by Sandeep Reddy Wanga and though his part in the movie was more like an extended cameo, netizens couldn’t stop gushing over him. The actor’s entry song ‘Jamal Kudu‘ also went viral and how, but Bobby was most touched to see his father, legendary actor Dharmendra‘s reaction to all this.
Bobby said during a chat that the sweetest reaction he got for the film was from his father. “When Animal released and I came home, my dad said to me – because he loves social media – ‘Sab log tere deewane ho rahe hai’ (People are going crazy for you) I said ‘Papa, main aapka beta hun, deewane nahi honge to kya hoge‘. (Papa I am your son, of course they would go crazy.) It was a very special moment for me,” said Bobby in a chat with Zoom.
The ‘Barsaat’ actor also opened up on the love which he got from the industry. He added that there was a lot of brotherhood which he experienced and it was just beautiful. “There are so many nice people in this industry. When Animal released, the kind of love I got from this industry was so beautiful, so special. Everyone didn’t need to call me. I feel our industry is so amazing. It’s just that sometimes social media makes it sound different,” said the actor.
Post ‘Animal’, Bobby will be seen next in Aryan Khan’s web-show. Bobby also makes his Tamil debut with A while. The fantasy action film is being helmed by Suriya. The makers recently launched Bobby’s first look from the film.
