Released last Friday, “Yodha” witnessed a promising start with a debut weekend collection of Rs 16.85 crore nett. However, the film experienced a significant decline in numbers on its first Monday, recording a 69% drop in footfall, according to Sacnilk.com.Despite the setback, the movie managed to rake in an estimated Rs 2.15 crore on day 4.
In a positive turn, “Yodha” saw a minor rise in collections on Tuesday, earning approximately Rs 2.30 crore nett, as per early estimates. The film boasted an overall occupancy rate of 11.40%, with the highest footfalls observed during the night shows.With this latest surge, the total collection of “Yodha” now stands at an estimated Rs 21.30 crore, marking a significant milestone for the film’s box office run.
Directed by the debutant duo Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre, the high-octane action thriller follows the character of Arun Katyal, the commanding officer of an elite unit, the Yodha Task Force, on thrilling rescue operations. “Yodha” also features stellar performances from Raashii Khanna and Disha Patani. Positioned as the first instalment of an action-packed trilogy, the film was initially slated for release in July last year but faced several delays due to unforeseen circumstances.
It must be noted that the film is sharing its box office business with films like Ajay Devgn’s ‘Shaitaan’ and the Hollywood release ‘Kung Fu Panda 4′.
