Randeep Hooda made his directorial debut with ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar‘. The film, which hit the theatres on March 22, witnessed a slow start at the box office.
According to a report in Sacnilk.com, the Randeep Hooda and Ankita Lokhande starrer minted Rs 1.15 crore on its opening day. The film has received positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike.

The film faced numerous hurdles before its theatrical release, including rumored interference by Randeep and subsequent exit of Mahesh, along with disputes over intellectual property rights. The story and concept were registered with the Screenwriters Association, attributed to Sandeep Singh. The Marathi release was stalled due to lack of a censor certificate, while the Hindi version proceeded to release.

Directed and co-written by Randeep Hooda alongside Utkarsh Naithani, this epic drama is a collaborative effort between Anand Pandit Motion Pictures, Randeep Hooda Films, Legend Studios, and Avak Films.
