‘Crew’ has got a UA certificate by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC) and some cuts have also been suggested by the board. The duration of the movie is 2 hours, 3 minutes, and 32 seconds.
The film is releasing in 2500 screens in India and has around 1000 screens in the worldwide market, which is a decently wide release and according to Pinkvilla, so far, 3700 tickets of ‘Crew’ have been sold in the top three national chains including PVRINOX and Cinepolis. The advance booking number is expected to go till Friday morning but more tickets are expected to sold in current bookings! The film is expected to get in more numbers from the multiplex going audience and in top tier cities than the mass centres or two-tier, three-tier areas.
It is expected to see a jump over the weekend if the reviews are good and if it manages to sell 35,000 to 45,000 tickets in the national chains through advance bookings, only then, it will be able to have an opening of around Rs 7-8 crore.
Up till April 10, it won’t have competition from any other movie as Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ is releasing on Eid. So, if the film garners good reviews, it has the scope to see a good number at the box office by holding well for atleast 10 days in a row, if not more!
