Supernatural thriller ‘Satan’, which has crossed the Rs 180 crore mark at the global box office, is on the way to reach the Rs 200 crore milestone as it enters its third week in theatres. It was released on the big screens on March 8. Presented by Jio Studios, Devgn Films and Panorama Studios, ‘Shaitaan’ is produced by Ajay DevgnJyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak.
Now according to reports, ‘Shaitaan’ is gearing up for its sequel after it garnered positive responses at the box office. The source, quoted in a Hindustan Times report, revealed that the film’s sequel will be announced in a few days. A source revealed that both Ajay and Vikas are happy with the response it has got and have high expectations from the second part as well. The film, which stars Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan, Jyothika, Janki Bodiwala and Anngad Raaj in the pivotal roles, will go on floors in a few months after the cast for the sequel is finalised. Reportedly, the same actors will appear in part two as well.
Directed by Vikas Bahl‘Shaitaan’ is a supernatural horror thriller film and is a remake of the 2023 Gujarati film ‘Vash’. The film is based on a family winning over the evil of black magic. Sharing details about the second instalment’s storyline, the source revealed, “The story further will be based in Kokam, Maharashtra, which is popularly known as the black magic center of the state. The narrative will develop around more complexities and energies of black magic. It will not be about another family getting targeted but a different angle to black magic that the makers want to explore.”
Later, the news portal reached out to actress Janki Bodiwala for confirmation of the same, however, she remained tight-lipped. She said, “Well, you know how filmmakers works, right? Sometimes it’s better to keep the details under wraps until the right moment. Just like in Shaitaan 2, where secrets and surprises are part of the thrill. Let’s just say, expect the unexpected and get ready for a rollercoaster ride of devilish proportions!”
