The heist comedy directed by Rajesh A Krishnan and featuring Tabu, Kareena Kapoorand Critic I say has kicked off to a good start. According to a report in Sacnilk.com, the film has earned Rs 8.75 crore at the domestic box office on its opening day.
With an opening day collection of Rs 8.75 crore, the comedy led by three female stars shows promise, although it falls short compared to Kareena Kapoor’s last chick flick, co-produced by Rhea Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor – Veere Di Wedding.The 2018 film, directed by Shashanka Ghosh and featuring Sonam Kapoor among others, garnered an impressive Rs 10.7 crore on its opening day. However, it’s worth noting that Veere Di Wedding was released a few years before the pandemic.

Given the overwhelmingly positive word-of-mouth, absence of competition from new Bollywood releases, and the holiday factor, Crew is anticipated to witness a surge in collections on Saturday, day 2.

Crew revolves around the lives of three women in the aviation industry, promising a laughter-filled narrative amid the challenges faced by airlines. However, their journey takes unexpected turns, leading them into a tangled web of deceit and unforeseen circumstances.

In addition to the trio of leading ladies, Crew features a stellar cast including Diljit Dosanjh, Kapil SharmaSaswata Chatterjee, Rajesh Sharma, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. Directed by Rajesh A Krishnan, known for his work in Lootcase, the film promises a star-studded ensemble delivering an entertaining performance.
