Sheeba Chadha to play the role of Manthara in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana |

After the iconic portrayal of Manthara‘s character in Ramayana by Lalita Pawar, Sheeba Chadha is all set to step into the shoes of the mythological role in the Nitesh Tiwari directorial ‘Ramayana’.
ETimes has got to know that the makers have roped in Sheeba for portraying the role of Manthara in the epic saga. Sheeba has delivered remarkable performances in both positive and negative roles in films and OTT series like ‘Badhaai Do,’ ‘Doctor G,’ ‘Mirzapur,’ and ‘Pagglait.’

The film will have Ranbir Kapoor playing the role of Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi essaying the role of Sita and Yash portraying Ravana.

Ravi Dubey will be playing the role of Lakshman in the movie, while Indira Krishnan will be seen as Kausalya in the movie.

Director Nitesh Tiwari is poised to embark on the monumental journey of bringing the epic tale of ‘Ramayana’ to life on April 2nd, 2024, in Mumbai. Contrary to earlier speculations of a delayed start, the project has now been officially confirmed to commence filming as scheduled.
As per Pinkvilla, Ranbir Kapoor, set to portray the iconic role of Lord Ram, is currently occupied with finalizing crucial 3D scans in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, the remainder of the team gears up to delve into the initial sequences at Film City, Mumbai.

Although Ranbir Kapoor’s physical presence may be momentarily absent from the initial shoot, reports indicate that he is scheduled to rejoin the ensemble by mid-April.
