Ali Abbas Zafarthe man behind blockbusters, like Sultan and Tiger Zinda Hai, is back on the big screen after a gap of 6 years with Bad Miyan Chote Miyan starring Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F. Over the past few days, the industry has been in the state of confusion over the release date of the film as it was releasing on the occasion of Eid, which was announced to hit the screen on 10th April. But, with the date of Eid getting shifted to 11th, the film also decided to move. But then it got embroiled in another confusion, as advance booking for the film had already opened and tickets for 10th had been sold, so talks began that the film will have paid premieres on 10th. But on Monday, it was finally decided that everyone who bought tickets for 10th will be refunded and showcasing for the film will start only from 11th. The film is clashing with Ajay Devgn’s field.
And between the two films, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is ahead in the race. As per Sacnilk, advance booking for the film has opened for nearly 4000 shows and it has sold about 16000 tickets, amassing a total of Rs 39.12 lakhs. Thanks to Prithviraj’s presence in the film, the film is releasing not only in Hindi but also in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam languages and IMAX format.
A lot of things are at stake for everyone involved with the film as both Akshay and Tiger haven’t had a success in a long time, and Ali’s last big hit was 6 years ago.
