Chandan shared, “What I really liked about Raveena was that she was spontaneous, open to changes and very well prepared. She knew her lines to the T.And also, since my role was only with her in terms of the court argument, she brought in a lot of harmony between our characters.” Hailing her offscreen personality, the actor said, “I think she’s a very happy girl and is living it up. She was very jolly on the sets and has good sense of humor. she’s riding the game and doing what she does the best with so much happiness, that is very inspiring.”
When asked if he ever felt intimidated by the actress, Chandan added, “When she first walked in, I was a little awestruck by her. After seeing her in fil;ms all my life, it takes a while for the clouds to clear when you face her in person. The rhythm and pace took a while but once we started, things fell in place.
Raveena and Chandan Roy Sanyal’s arguments was heard by late Satish Kaushik in ‘Patna Shukla’, as he essayed the role of a judge in the drama. Shedding light on his experience of working with the seasoned star, Chandan added, “Satish ji was a very, very funny man with a good sense of humor. I had known him over the years. He was aware of my work and this was the first time I was working with him. But strangely and fortunately, we come from the same place in New Delhi, called Karol Bagh. I am from Raigarpura, and he comes from Naywala Delhi. And I had heard stories about his legacy in Karol Bagh while growing up. Obviously, when I was a kid, I had seen him in movies too. And then doing a film with him, where he was a judge and I was a lawyer was a totally different experience, we would even improvise on the sets. He was a good man and I hope wherever he is, he is at peace.”
