Ajay Devgn‘s sports drama fielddepicting the inspiring story of Syed Abdul Rahim‘s contributions to Indian football, faced a challenging start at the box office. On its first day, the film garnered an estimated Rs 7.1 crore net in India, including earnings from paid previews. However, the following day saw a further decline in its collection.
According to Sacnilk, Maidaan is projected to earn Rs 2.75 crore on Friday, marking a notable drop in its box office performance.The film maintained an overall 8.81 per cent occupancy in theaters, bringing its two-day collection to Rs 9.85 crore.
Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Maidaan stars Ajay Devgn in the pivotal role of Syed Abdul Rahim, a football coach whose dedication and vision brought glory to Indian football. The film features a talented ensemble cast including Priyamani, Gajraj Rao, and Rudranil Ghosh, portraying various characters integral to Rahim’s story.
