Sridevi also expressed interest in collaborating on a Punjabi film with Chamkila, which unfortunately never materialised.

In the interview, Amar Singh Chamkila’s friend described the singer as a “gem of a person.” Recounting an incident from 1986, the friend mentioned that Chamkila visited his home to see his sick mother and generously gave them Rs. 10,000, a significant sum at that time.
