Rajinikanth, ministers, and more watched the movie and heaped praise on it. Yashpal found the director of that film talented. He made his Telugu debut in the 2007 film ‘Lakshyam’.

The actor called it a bigger success than Rajinikanth’s ‘Sivaji’ that year. He said that the team took care of him well during a one-day trip for patchwork. He also mentioned that the cheques given from the production houses don’t bounce.
In ‘Ayothi’, Yashpal played the role of a misogynistic character. He also shared the screen with Mahesh Babu in 'Bharat Ane Nenu' and 'Don Seenu'.
