Crew Box Office collection: Kareena Kapoor Khan, Tabu and Kriti Sanon starrer finally crosses Rs 75 crore mark

TabuKareena Kapoor Khan, and Critic I say starrer Crew, directed by Rajesh Krishnan and duly supported by Diljit Dosnajh and Kapil Sharmacrossed the major milestone of Rs 75 crore box office collection in its fourth week. Explaining the premise of the film Kareena Kapoor Khan had shared that Crew is a comedy heist drama on the lines of Ocean’s 11 and Ocean’s 8.The film revolves around the lives of three air hostesses working for a bankrupt airline and how they team up together to save the lives and earnings of all employees of the company.
The film in its first week earned Rs 43.75 crore, in second Rs 21.45, in third week it dropped to Rs 6.65 crore. The film entered its fourth week on a good note as it earned Rs 55 lakhs, on Saturday the collection jumped to Rs 98 lakhs and on Sunday it earned Rs 1.1 crore. Crew saw a drop on Monday to earn Rs 40 lakh and on Tuesday it steadied itself by earning Rs 40 lakh once again as per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk. Thus, the overall collection of the film stands at Rs 75.16 crore.
Crew is not only holding strong in India but also in the North America circuit; one of the biggest overseas markets for Indian films. The film has till now minted US $ 3308364 (Rs 27.6 crore) and has potential for more. Amongst the latest release, Crew has beaten both new films released this weekend Do Aur Do Pyaar and LSD 2. Over the past five days, Crew has earned Rs 3.43 crore while Do Aur Do Pyaar starring Vidya Balan and Pratik Gandhi has earned Rs 2.9 crore while LSD, directed by Dibakar Banerjee has earned just Rs 81 lakhs.
The success of Crew has emerged as another triumph for Kriti Sanon, as it marks her second hit of the year. Her first film, Tere Baaton Mein Uljaha Jiya, earned about Rs 85 crore.
