Heeramandi EXCLUSIVE: Sonakshi Sinha & Aditi Rao Hydari All Praise for Sanjay Leela Bhansali
Talking about her experience on working with the maverick director on both the films in an exclusive interview with ETimes, she said, “It is a huge privilege and a blessing to work with someone like him who pushes you to do your best. But no day with him is the same ..every day is hugely challenging but that is the fuel because he believes so much in you and there is so much validation that you want to make him proud. There are days that are frustrating but they are always charged and magical and fun because when you get that approval and that twinkle, it is amazing.”
Going by the trailer of the show, one can notice that Sanjay Leela Bhansali has paid special attention to the costumes of each and every character. Shedding light on her attire in the historical drama, Aditi shared, “I had way heavier clothes in Padmaavat. I wore a velvet dupatta over my head, which was very long and there were three people who would take me to the sets as my clothes were very heavy. In The ConstitutionI had clothes made of muslin and chanderi, I felt as light as a feather. But my mujra costumes were very heavy and it was tough to dance in them, I would take a spin in them and would end up taking nearly 15 spins, pretty much falling into the fountain (on the sets).”
Aditi, who recently got engaged to south superstar Siddharth, of Rang De Basanti fame, and the duo made a joint appearance at the premiere of Heeramandi on Wednesday. When asked about Siddharth‘s review of the show, the actress quipped, “We will binge watch it together. I just hope I remember what all people have spoken about the show till now and tell Sanjay sir about it because I have a memory of a mosquito.”
