Bade Miyan Chote Miyan box office collection Week 3: Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer earns Rs 50 lakhs on third Wednesday |

The journey of Bad Miyan Chote Miyan at the box office has been a rollercoaster ride. The film featuring Akshay Kumar, Tiger ShroffPrithviraj, Sonakshi Sinha, Manushi Chhillarand Alaya F had a slow start. Despite initial struggles, the film recently achieved a significant milestone. During its third weekend, it finally breached the Rs 60 crore mark domestically, only to face a sharp decline of 60% on Monday, managing just Rs 40 lakhs in collections.

However, it showed resilience thereafter.Tuesday saw a remarkable uptick of nearly 12.50%, with collections reaching Rs 45 lakh, while Wednesday’s estimates suggest a further increase to Rs 50 lakh, as reported by industry tracker Sacnilk. The film’s total collection now stands at Rs 62.05 crore. Yet, with a reported budget of Rs 350 crore, the road to profitability remains long and uncertain.
During the Eid season, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan had a face-off against Ajay Devgn’s Maidaan, debuting with an opening of Rs 15.65 crore. However, sustaining its initial success proved challenging. While it garnered Rs 49.9 crore in the extended first week and Rs 8.6 crore in the second, its total earnings reached Rs 58.5 crore. By the third weekend, it had accumulated Rs 60.65 crore.
Under the direction of Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Vashu Bhagnanithe film has sustained its box office presence unchallenged, as no other major Hindi release has hit theaters. The next significant film on the horizon is Rajkummar Rao’s ‘Srikanth,’ slated for release on May 10.
The film adds to the long list of recent unsuccessful films of Akshay Kumar like Ram Setu, Mission Raniganj, Raksha Bandhan, Samrat Prithviraj and Bachchan Pandey among others. Despite this, Akshay has a strong list of films in the pipeline, namely, Housefull 5, Welcome to the Jungle, Sky Force and The Untold Story of C Sankaran Nair among others.
