Juhi Chawla reveals Nagesh Kukunoor, the director of 3 Deewarein, told her he was a fan and had a QSQT poster taped inside his cabinet | Hindi Movie News

Juhi Chawlawho is one of the most adored Bollywood actresses of the late ’80s and early ’90s, became an overnight sensation after the success of ‘From Qayamat to Qayamat Tak’ (QSQT). In a recent episode of Madness Machayenge, Juhi shared a sweet story about her experience working with director Nagesh Kukunoor on the film ‘3 Deewarein’. She also recalled how shocked she was when Nagesh first told her how much he liked the work she had done in QSQT.
She shared, “I was working in Nagesh Kukunoor’s 3 Deewarein and shooting in Hyderabad. He told me that he was my fan and liked my work in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (QSQT). I thought he was joking and was being sweet because I was working with him.”
As their working connection grew, Nagesh invited Juhi for lunch at his house and showed her a priceless poster of her film that was hidden inside his cabinet. She said, “One day, after the shoot, he took me to his house for lunch and showed me a poster of QSQT pasted inside his cupboard. He told me, ‘Maine aaj tak nahin utaare (I still have them stuck here. I haven’t taken them off).’ It is so interesting that he was a fan and here, I am working on his film and he was directing me. Life can be amazing.”
The film ‘3 Deewarein’, which also stars Jackie Shroff and Naseeruddin Shah, tells the story of a documentary filmmaker who, while documenting the rehabilitation of three seasoned criminals within a jail, discovers forgiveness in her own life.
