Speaking about his bond with Akshay Kumar, Shreyas mentioned that the actor has a supportive nature off-screen. “Akshay bhai is a fierce competitor when it comes to his screen space. He wants to be the best. Period. But off-screen, he is a great friend. He will do everything that it takes to make sure that you are okay,” Shreyas told Siddharth Kannan.
He also addressed questions about discrimination on screen and scenes being edited. “It depends on the director and how much control he has on the set. Even if we do some improvisation, we ask the director. After that, we don’t get into the nitty-gritties about how it is being edited,” Shreyas explained.

He further added, “Sometimes when my scene is cut I feel bad that I lost the scene but it is important for the scene to be cut in the interest of the film. For instance, in Golmaal Again, many people asked me if I am Rohit’s favourite because I am shown a lot in the trailer. So, it is not in your hand and it shouldn’t be. The director is the captain of the ship. I never felt that I was unfairly removed from a scene.”
During the same interview, Shreyas also recalled how Rohit, Ahmed and Akshay maintained daily communication and checked on his health regularly. He mentioned that they would come and meet his Deepti Talpade and would keep calling her if she needs anything. “These are the things that make a relationship, otherwise there is nothing,” Shreyas shared.
Shreyas is currently busy promoting his upcoming psychological thriller Kartam Bhugtam. Directed by Soham P. Shah, the film also stars Vijay Raaz in a lead role.
