Movie legend megastar Chiranjeevi was recently honoured with the prestigious Padma Vibhushan award. The recognition, one of India’s highest civilian awards, he received from President Draupadi Murmu at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Chiranjeevi received the award for his extensive contributions to the field of arts.
Adding a personal touch to the celebrations, Upasana KonidelaChiranjeevi’s daughter-in-law, shared an endearing behind-the-scenes video from a photoshoot on her Instagram story.The video captures a light-hearted moment between Chiranjeevi and his family just before the formal event.

In the clip, Upasana, who is married to Chiranjeevi’s son Ram Charanengages in a playful exchange with the actor. She quizzes him about what she and her daughter, Klin Kaarahave in common. The Megastar answered, “Klin Kaara is an extension of you.” Upasana then said, “No, both our grandfathers are Padma Vibhushans.”. Noting that both are related to grandfathers honoured with the Padma Vibhushan is Prathap C Reddy and now Chiranjeevi.
Chiranjeevi’s wife, Surekha, and son Ram Charan were also present at the event.

Chiranjeevi is currently working on his upcoming film, ‘Vishwambhara’, a socio-fantasy drama. The film features Trisha Krishnan in the lead role and is directed by Mallidi Vassishta. The makers had announced that the film will be released on January 10, 2025.
