The 33-year-old posted a video of actor Gajraj Rao complimenting him on Instagram stories. The veteran actor who portrayed Kartik’s father in ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ revealed that Kartik used to be very much available and active on the set and it is quite likely that he will pursue directing within the next five to ten years.
Gajraj further added that the actor was very enthusiastic to know everything, “What is happening in the shoot? What is happening in the lives of other artists? What are they doing? What is happening in their scene? He was always curious about everything. So it wasn’t like he used to switch on and off and say, I am going.” Gajraj Rao also expressed that Kartik values his success and huge fan base.
In his Instagram story, Kartik shared Rao’s compliments for him and wrote, “Haha sir jaldi karunga direct (will direct soon). Thank you for your kind words.”
In an old interview with Hello India, the actor was questioned about his preparation for putting himself in a character’s shoes. In response, Aaryan acknowledged that he made the deliberate choice to sign versatile characters in order to improve his craft.
He said, “I don’t have a formula, and take each role as it comes. From having detailed discussions with my director to doing my own prep, working on the physicality of the role, rehearsing, etc. I’m also a director’s actor, and take cues from how they envision the character.”
On the work front, Kartik is gearing up for the release of his two upcoming films ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ and ‘Chandu Champion’.
For ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, Kartik will reprise the role of Rooh Baba from the last part of the franchise. He will be joined by Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan who’ll also bring back her character Manjulika from the first part of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ on the big screen. Anees Baazmee is aiming for a Diwali release this year.
