Actor Pankaj Jhawho gained recognition for his portrayal of MLA Chandra Kishore Vidhayak in the comedy series ‘Panchayat‘, recently took a dig at Pankaj Tripathi.
During a recent interview with Lallantop Cinema, Pankaj Jha criticized Pankaj Tripathi for romanticizing his own hardships. Additionally, he alleged that Mukesh Chhabra replaced him with Pankaj Tripathi in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur,’ despite initially being considered for the role of Sultan.

Jha also shared his perspective on the concept of struggle in the entertainment industry. He expressed his dislike for the term ‘struggle,’ believing that if one chooses to pursue their passion, they should find enjoyment in it. He remarked on the tendency within the industry to glamourise hardships, citing examples such as claiming to have sold potatoes or lived in small accommodations.

Jha emphasized that every experience should be seen as a learning opportunity. The reference to stealing another actor’s slippers is speculated to allude to Pankaj Tripathi reportedly taking Manoj Bajpayee‘s slippers during his time working at a hotel where Bajpayee was a guest.

Furthermore, he highlighted the presence of complexes and large egos within the industry. He noted instances where individuals become offended if not greeted or if opinions are voiced, leading to repercussions such as being ostracized from future collaborations. Recounting a personal experience, he mentioned receiving a call from Mukesh Chhabra regarding a role in ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ while he was in Patna. However, upon his return, the role of Sultan had been assigned to someone else without explanation, resulting in a lack of communication from the production house thereafter.
