The Academy‘s official Instagram handle shared a video of her popular song Home More Pardesiya. Sung by Shreya Ghoshalthe hit track from karan johar’s production Kalank Also features Varun Dhawan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sonakshi Sinha, and Madhuri Dixit.
Sharing the video, The Academy wrote, “Alia Bhatt performing ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’ (vocals by Shreya Ghoshal with Vaishali Mhade) from the film ‘Kalank.’ Directed by Abhishek Varman; Starring Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt and Sonakshi Sinha; Song composed by Pritam Chakraborty; Lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.” The video went viral quickly, with fans expressing their gratitude to the Oscars for recognizing Alia’s talent.

Earlier this month, Alia dazzled on the Met Gala red carpet in a stunning saree designed by Sabyasachi. Her entrance in the traditional outfit received the loudest cheers on the red carpet, adding to her growing international acclaim.

On the work front, Alia will be seen in Vasan Bala’s Jigra, which is co-produced by Karan Johar and Alia herself. The film is all set to hit theatres on September 27, this year. She is also set to play the lead in a Spy Universe film, with filming scheduled to kick off later this year.
