A few days ago, a social media post alleged that Janhvi Kapoor is going to get married soon. The post sparked rumours that she wants to get married wearing a golden saree, at Tirumala temple in Andhra Pradesh. Janhvi had even dropped a comment on the post saying ‘kuch bhi’. Meanwhile, the actress is gearing up for the release of her film ‘Mr. & Mrs.Mahi’ and is currently on a promotional spree with co-star Rajkummar Rao. During an interview with ETimes for the same, the actress addressed these wedding rumours.
During a rapid fire round, we asked the duo about the strangest rumour they’ve heard about themselves. Rajkummar reacted to it and said, “Just now someone told me that I belong to a powerful political family in Gurugram.”
Janhvi reacted to it and said, “Oh I like that energy for you.” The actress further opened up on the strangest rumour about her. “I read something very stupid just recently where they said that I have confirmed some relationship aur ‘meri shadi aise hone wali hai’. People mixed up some 2-3 articles saying I’m getting married. They are getting me married in a week which I’m not okay with (laughs). I want to work at the moment,” she said.
The actress is rumoured to be dating Shikhar Pahariya and while she was seen flaunting his name on her neckpiece recently, she has preferred to keep her private life private. She has not yet confirmed her relationship directly or spoken about it in the media.
At the moment, all her focus remains work. ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ is set to release on May 31.
