Jayati Bhatia played Phatto in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘The Constitution‘. The show has been the talk of the two ever since it released. Bhatia recently spoke about the experience of working on ‘Heeramandi’ and mentioned that Bhansali was nice to the actors every morning during filming, which was surprising because many people think he’s always angry.
Talking to ABP Live, Jayati said that Sanjay loves his actors.People have just created this kind of impression but when she would go and meet him in the morning, he would hug her, kiss her on her cheek. When someone gives a great shot, Bhansali gives Rs 500, and she got it three times. Jayati got Rs 1500. When he finds the shot to be excellent, he won’t say okay. He would either say ‘Jeeyo Phatto’ or he would say ‘500 rupay’.
When questioned if she had framed those notes, Jayati mentioned that she hadn’t, but she had kept them safe. The actress revealed that she had kept them safely.
Earlier, actor Indresh Malik, who played Ustaadji, also shared a similar story. He said that after his scene with Sonakshi Sinha’s Fareedan, where he wore the ‘nath,’ Bhansali was so impressed that he gave him Rs 500 as a reward. Indresh said that Sanjay hugged him and gave him Rs 500 on the sets as a token of appreciation. Malik kept thinking about the character and that carried on for five minutes.
