Kartik Aaryan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film ‘Chandu Champion‘ directed by Kabir Khan on June 14. The movie revolves around India’s first Paralympic gold medalist, Murlikant Petkar. During the movie promotion, he discussed the escalating costs of Bollywood entourages, which have resulted in lower pay for technicians working behind the scenes.
In an interview with News 18, Kartik revealed that he didn’t charge a fee for ‘shehzada‘ due to financial issues faced by the makers of the film.He emphasized that such actions by an actor often go unnoticed. He received producer credit for the Rohit Dhawan-directed film starring Critic I say.

He further added that many stars, including himself, engage in such practices, which extend beyond mere personal preferences. He explained the rationale behind it, suggesting that everyone involved in filmmaking desires success for their projects, from directors and actors to producers. The aim is not to burden films with excessive costs but rather to ensure their commercial viability. He dismissed the notion that individuals in the industry are solely focused on personal gains.
