BTS’ Jungkook has once again captured the hearts of fans worldwide with the release of ‘Never Let Go’, marking his solo contribution to the group’s annual celebration, FESTA 2024, in honor of their upcoming 11th debut anniversary. This anthemic track, tailor-made for BTS’ devoted fanbase, affectionately known as ARMYsswiftly garnered widespread love.

Breaking into the music scene with an impressive debut, Jungkook’s ‘Never Let Go’ soared to the No. 14 spot on the Spotify Global chart within hours of its release on June 8. The song’s resounding success was further underscored by its first-day performance on the music platform, amassing over 5,511,530 streams, thus securing its position as the biggest K-pop debut of 2024 on Spotify.
In achieving this milestone, Jungkook surpassed the debut performances of his fellow BTS members’ solo releases in 2024. V’s ‘FRI(END)S’ trailed closely behind at No. 2, garnering 4,728,233 streams, while RM’s ‘Come back to me’ and ‘LOST!’ claimed the 3rd and 4th spots, respectively, with 3,335,141 and 3,230,889 first-day Spotify streams. Notably, BTS’ lead rapper, J-Hope, maintained a strong presence on the list with ‘Neuron’ securing the 5th spot with 2,559,464 debut streams on Spotify.

Meanwhile, ‘Never Let Go’ was dropped to eager fans on June 7 at 1 p.m. KST, just days before BTS’ debut anniversary on June 13. Initially released on global music platforms such as Apple Music, Spotify, and the iTunes Store, the song’s popularity surged further with the unveiling of an audio version on YouTube, which garnered over 3.5 million views within a mere two days of its release.
