Bollywood heartthrob Ranveer Singh has set social media abuzz with his rugged new look.
The hunk brought back his bearded look that left fans swooning. The thick bearded look resembled the one he sported while shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s ‘Padmaavat’, where he played the villainous role of Alauddin Khilji. Dressed in a beige pullover and grey pants, Singh struck a pose showing off his perfectly trimmed beard that only accentuated his handsome features.
Interestingly, the new look had his fans speculating whether it was for his rumoured role in ‘Brahmastra Part 2’.Fans flooded the comments section with love and praise, with one user excitedly writing, “AGAR YE DEV CHARACTER KA LOOK HAI. TOH BHAII AAAAG LAGNE VAALII HAI SECOND PART MAYYY,” hinting at the possibility of Singh portraying the character Dev in the sequel to Ayan Mukerji's “Brahmastra.”

Last months, rumours were rife that the actor was in the running for the role along with Hrithik Roshan. Reports later suggested that Singh has been finalized for the role of Dev in the Ranbir Kapoor-led franchise, a casting choice that has received widespread approval from fans. Since the announcement of ‘Part 2’ last year, netizens have been rooting to see Singh take on the leading role and have even fan-casted him as the lead in the upcoming film that will reportedly serve as a prequel.

However, it is believed that the scripting for ‘Brahmastra Part 2’ is still underway, with the film slated to begin production only in 2025.

Currently, director Ayan Mukerji is occupied with ‘War 2’, while Singh is busy with his many shooting commitments. Unfortunately, Singh’s upcoming movie ‘Rakshas’ with director Prasanth Varma was shelved.
On the personal front, the actor is awaiting the arrival of his first child with his actress wife, Deepika Padukone. The couple is awaiting the arrival of their baby in September.
